Privacy Policy

Overview

Buckwise is a subscription tracking app developed and operated by Code Luna Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Buckwise mobile application and website.

Our core principle is local-first privacy. Your subscription data is stored on your device by default. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data for advertising purposes.

Data stored on your device

By default, all data you enter in Buckwise — including your subscriptions, categories, settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly enable Cloud Sync.

Cloud Sync (optional)

Cloud Sync is an optional feature. If you choose to enable it:

• You must sign in with Apple or Google. Authentication is handled by Supabase, which stores your account credentials securely.
• Your subscription data is synced to our secure backend and stored in a database in the Sydney (ap-southeast-2) region.
• Data is transmitted over HTTPS and protected by row-level security — only your account can access your data.
• You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from Settings → Cloud Sync → Delete Account.

In-App Purchases

Buckwise offers a one-time lifetime purchase ("Buckwise Pro") processed through Apple App Store and Google Play. Purchase processing is handled by RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details. RevenueCat may collect anonymous usage data to fulfil purchases and restore them across devices.

Local notifications

Buckwise schedules local push notifications on your device to remind you of upcoming subscription renewals. These notifications are processed entirely on-device — no data is sent to our servers to deliver them. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings.

Brand request form

If you submit a brand request via our website, we collect the brand name, website URL, optional notes, and an optional email address. This information is used solely to review and add the requested brand to the app. We do not use it for marketing purposes.

Analytics and crash reporting

We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in Buckwise.

Children's privacy

Buckwise is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Buckwise after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
